Here's a bit of exciting casting news, straight from the all-consuming maw of this year's D23 Expo: the cast of Justin Simien's upcoming Haunted Mansion movie has just added two horror icons to its ranks.

The first? Halloween star and soon-to-be FANGORIA cover model Jamie Lee Curtis has joined the film as Madame Leota, one of the Haunted Mansion ride's most memorable characters (If you've had the pleasure, you'll recall Madame Leota as the medium whose head appears to be trapped in a crystal ball). Given the absolute tear Curtis has been on lately, we're willing to bet she's gonna have a blast with this part.

Secondly, none other than Morbius himself, Jared Leto, has joined Simien's film as another one of the Haunted Mansion's 999 happy haunts: the Hatbox Ghost. He looks like this, in case you need a reminder:

Say what you will about Jared Leto (the internet always does!), but we're willing to bet the dude looks exactly like this in the movie. And if he gives the Hatbox Ghost some sort of weird affectation or an odd voice? Even better. I'm imagining an outrageous British accent? Guess we'll find out!

Curtis and Leto are joining a cast which also includes Winona Ryder, Dan Levy, Rosario Dawson, Lakeith Stanfield, Owen Wilson, Tiffany Haddish, and Danny DeVito. That's one helluva stacked cast! We're very curious to see what Simien comes up with here, and will definitely be checking this one out when it hits theaters on March 10th, 2023. Stay tuned for further Haunted Mansion updates as they occur!
