Ah, an idyllic family vacation, a little bonding, taking in the sights, making new friends...what's the worst that could happen? Well. Plenty. The wide, sweeping shots and beautiful scenery of Speak No Evil nearly lure you into a false sense of security here but the accompanying score never quite lets the viewer feel entirely safe. True crime podcast My Favorite Murder famously preaches "Fuck politeness" as one of their catchphrases for survival, and this movie is precisely why. Politeness and societal niceties can get you into more trouble than they're worth. Better to offend and remain alive than to be polite and dead.
