A brand-new trailer has arrived for Sir Kenneth Branagh's A Haunting in Venice, the filmmaker's third Agatha Christie adaptation (following 2017's Murder on the Orient Express and 2022's Death on the Nile). Once again scripted by the great Michael Green (Blade Runner 2049, Alien: Covenant), Hercule Poirot's latest mystery adapts Christie's spooky 1969 novel Hallowe'en Party.

Let's take a look...

As you can see, Branagh has assembled yet another killer cast for his latest Poirot mystery, including recent Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh, Tina Fey, Kyle Allen, Camille Cottin, Barb and Star MVP Jamie Dornan, Jude Hill, Ali Khan, Emma Laird, Kelly Reilly, and Riccardo Scamarico. Assembled in Poirot's newly-adopted city of Venice for a mysterious séance, one of the guests ends up dead, and ... well, we imagine that's when the world's greatest detective will once again be forced to do what he does best: catch murderers.

Says Branagh about A Haunting in Venice's creepy new mystery:

“This is a fantastic development of the character Hercule Poirot, as well as the Agatha Christie franchise. Based on a complex, little known tale of mystery set at Halloween in a pictorially ravishing city, it is an amazing opportunity for us, as filmmakers, and we are relishing the chance to deliver something truly spine-chilling for our loyal movie audiences.”

Adds Steve Asbell, president of 20th Century Studios:

“We are enormously privileged to continue our long collaboration with the incomparable Sir Kenneth Branagh and couldn’t be more excited by the bold new creative direction Ken, Michael, and the rest of the filmmaking team have taken with this latest film. We also remain grateful to James Prichard and the rest of our friends at Agatha Christie, Ltd., for their partnership and for once again entrusting us with, as Poirot modestly calls himself, ‘probably the greatest detective in the world.’”

A Haunting in Venice will hit theaters on September 15, just in time for spooky season. Stay tuned for more on this one as further updates become available, folks!
