The hits from Las Vegas just keep on comin'...

Today, during the studio's CinemaCon 2023 presentation, Paramount revealed a few new details about its forthcoming A Quiet Place prequel, A Quiet Place: Day One. Starring the great Lupita Nyong'o, this chapter will show us what happened on the day A Quiet Place's "Death Angels" (extraterrestrial invaders with no sight but insanely good hearing, and very ugly faces) landed on our planet. Turns out, the invasion will be kicking off in good ol' New York City.

A teaser trailer was reportedly screened for the CinemaCon crowd, one revealing the location by way of Nyong'o sitting in a NYC bus while "meteors" fall around her. We're guessing those aren't exactly meteors!

No further plot details are available at this time, but here's some information for your records: A Quiet Place: Day One is being directed by Michael Sarnoski (who directed the truly outstanding Nic Cage film, Pig), and - in addition to Nyong'o - will also star Hereditary's Alex Wolff. We also know the film will hit theaters on March 8th of next year.

Stay tuned for more on A Quiet Place: Day One as further updates become available. March 8th is a long way away, but we'll be tracking this one through production every step of the way.
