On August 1, 1986, Friday the 13th, Part VI: Jason Lives was unleashed upon the world to the joy of Jason Voorhees fans everywhere. As Tommy Jarvis returns to face the specter of Jason, he instead accidentally revives the (almost) unstoppable killing machine and makes Voorhees into an undead (almost) unstoppable killing machine. Whoops! On the 37th anniversary of the release of the film, enjoy the greatest hits of Jason as he hacks and slashes through Camp Forest Green. Who are we kidding? We all know it's Camp Crystal Lake.

Stan, Kate, and Larry innocently participate in a corporate paintball team-building exercise when they happen upon Jason in the woods. This is probably the funniest kill, as Kate makes Stan and Larry don "dead" headbands right before Jason performs a triple decapitation with his newly acquired machete. I'm not sure that their company's health insurance can cover this.

Poor Sissy. She is Megan's friend and unwisely decided to check out a noise at night. One of the best parts of this kill is the most subtle detail. Sissy gets pulled out of her slippers through the window, and Jason twists off her head. I could insert the jokes about Jason knowing how to turn a girl's head here, but...okay, consider it done.

No! Not Horshack! Ron Palillo, who played Horshack in the television series Welcome Back Kotter, makes an early exit in Jason Lives. As Allen Hawes, he is caught by Jason in the cemetery after his reanimation, and Jason punches him so hard his fist carries Hawes' heart out through his back. Ouch.

Believe it or not, the photo is not the moment where Carter "Cort" Andrews (Tom Fridley) is killed. He and his girlfriend Nikki take off in the RV to the tune of an Alice Cooper song Teenage Frankenstein. Cort meets his end, and it's spectacular when Jason stabs him in the head, and then the RV flips and catches on fire. It is the most visually stunning death, for sure.

His bottle of liquor betrays Martin, the caretaker. After tossing his bottle of booze in the air after finishing it off, Martin is stabbed by Jason through the throat with the bottle that he has broken. This character has many of the best lines, including, "Dig him up? Does he think I'm a farthead?" to which a crowd of small children respond, "YES!"

Lizbeth Mott is played by Nancy McLoughlin, wife of the film's writer and director, Tom McLoughlin. He shows that he doesn't play favorites when he has Jason kill Lizbeth by spearing her in the face and holding her underwater. She tries to give Jason money not to kill her, but she should know that Jason would not be swayed by cash or credit cards.

I won't lie. This kill is mainly memorable for the actor playing the role of Darren. Tony Goldwyn, who later played the President of the United States on Scandal and a serial killer himself in Kiss The Girls, gets done in by Jason, who spears him in the stomach after Darren pulls a gun. Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives was Goldwyn's film debut. I will admit that Jason tossing Darren over his shoulder is pretty cool, though, and the look on Darren's face is priceless.

Officer Pappas, played Michael Swan, gets killed in a classic fashion. While trying to do his job and stop the mass murder, Jason grabs him by the head and crushes his head. 9 out of 10, no notes.

Sherriff Mike Garris fulfills the necessity of having a suspicious sheriff who thwarts the hero's attempts to kill the monster and save the town amply. His death is heroic, as he stops Jason from killing his daughter. He is rewarded by one of the film's best kills, in which Jason folds him over backward. Impressive.

This one is a tie. There are two kills in Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives that involve people's faces and pre-date the spectacular liquid nitrogen kill in Jason X. When Burt, one of the corporate paintballers who donates his machete, is killed by Jason early on, Jason slams his face into a tree. The tree has a carving of a smiley face, which is hilarious. Nikki is the first person to be killed in the RV scene. Jason grabs her and shoves her face through the bathroom wall, and you can see the imprint of her face. Both are artsy kills, so they get a similar score.
