Dead by Daylight may be seven years old, but the popular online game is showing no signs of slowing down. The “kill or be killed” survival game has unveiled a roadmap for the upcoming Haunted by Daylight event, which will be coming just in time for Halloween. In the meantime, players will have much to look forward to, including new merch and a big livestream event. First up though, we’ve got a brief teaser trailer. Check it out.

Admittedly, that doesn’t give us much to go on and, truth be told, Behaviour Interactive hasn’t revealed all that much about the actual event itself, which kicks off on October 18. But we’ll be learning more about that soon enough, as indicated by the roadmap that the company released telling us what to expect in the two weeks ahead. Have a look for yourself below.

Beginning today, players will have access to new merch in the game’s shop, including clothing and other special items. October 11 is the next big day as the Tome 17: Commitment drops, which will bring a new survivor and killer to the game, as well as new outfits. We already got Nic Cage earlier this year. What could possibly top that? On October 13, players can watch a special Halloween livestream that will give offer an in-depth look at the game’s future. And, finally, on October 18, the Haunted by Daylight event kicks off!

On the same day, content from previous years will be available in the store again, including the Tricks and Treats collection. In a press release, Behaviour offered up a description of the upcoming event, saying the following:

“Dare to enter the Void that is Dead by Daylight where your favorite horror characters coexist, ruled by a dark force in never-ending Trials. The Fog thickens this year as Haunted by Daylight, the unmissable in-game Halloween event returns, bigger than it’s ever been. Players should get amped up on their jump scares thanks to Void Zones, new, terrifying gates to a mysterious Realm where the Entity’s victims – or Haunts - are dismissed and await to be released. The stakes will be even higher as players will find themselves face to face with these Haunts for the first time…”

It appears there is no end in sight for this wildly popular game. Not only does Behaviour continue to roll out new content regularly, but Blumhouse is currently working on a movie based on the game. If that goes well, it’s destined to become a full-on multimedia franchise. The future looks bright for killers and survivors alike.

Dead by Daylight is available for both console and PC.
