Finally, the Thanksgiving horror movie we've been craving. Director Eli Roth joins us to discuss this proper Thanksgiving slasher decades in the making. The origins of this go back much further than the 2007 Grindhouse fake trailer that gained such notoriety, Roth discusses growing up in pilgrim country and dreaming up creative Thanksgiving kills as a twelve-year-old with co-writer (and childhood friend) Jeff Rendell. Roth drew inspiration from classics like Mute Witness and Scream to turn a parody trailer into a real movie.
