This October, A24 delivers a "dark and malevolent" folktale in the form of Lamb. Valdimar Jóhannsson’s debut feature stars Noomi Rapace (Prometheus, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) and Hilmir Snær Guðnason as Icelandic sheep farmers. Written by Jóhannsson and frequent Björk collaborator, Sjón. The movie debuted at Cannes to rave audience reception, described in the official synopsis as, "a childless couple in rural Iceland make an alarming discovery one day in their sheep barn. They soon face the consequences of defying the will of nature." The trailer looks wonderfully and gorgeously moody, there is a moment where it takes a turn—a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment.
