The latest from writing-director sibling duo Erik and Carson Bloomquist (She Came From The Woods), Founders Day marks the reunion of 13 Reasons Why duo Devin Druid and Amy Hargreaves, who join an ensemble cast including Naomi Grace (NCIS), William Russ (Boy Meets World), Catherine Curtin (Stranger Things), Emilia McCarthy (SkyMed), and Olivia Nikkanen (The Society).
The short but sweet plot synopsis reads as follows:
In the film, a small town is shaken by a series of ominous killings in the days leading up to a heated mayoral election.
An award winner at this year’s Toronto After Dark Film Festival, Founders Day has been enjoying a successful festival run with stops at London's FrightFest, Popcorn Frights, and San Sebastián Horror and Fantasy Film Festival.
Speaking to THR, the Bloomquist brothers had this to say of their new-found distribution deal:
