In just over a month, Prime Video will unveil its long-awaited (and highly anticipated) adaptation of Fallout, based on the blockbuster post-apocalyptic RPG franchise from Bethesda Studios. The world of Fallout contains many genre flavors, from horror to sci-fi to dark comedy, and based on the show's just-released new trailer, it appears that the folks behind this production (producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy; showrunners Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner) have managed to capture them all.

Take a look...

Yup, that's Fallout, alright: fearsome creatures (keep your eyes peeled for a blink-and-you'll-miss-it Yao guai cameo), dudes in Power Armor, potentially deadly robots, and plenty of dark humor. We are, admittedly, a little disappointed not to see a Deathclaw anywhere in here, but we're guessing they're holding onto that reveal for later. And, well, I suppose we can't be too mad about that when everything else onscreen looks so pitch-perfect.

Here's an official synopsis, for your records:

“200 years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind — and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird and highly violent universe waiting for them.”

Fallout stars Walton Goggins, Ella Purnell, Kyle MacLachlan, Aaron Moten, and more. Every episode of its first season will hit Prime Video on April 11th, and we'll definitely be tuning in. Stay tuned for more on Fallout as further updates become available, folks.
