The end is near. AMC has announced the air date for the series finale of Fear the Walking Dead, which is currently in the middle of its eighth and final season. The network has revealed that the series will wrap things up on Sunday, November 19. Not only that but fans will have a big night as AMC also revealed that the series will conclude with a two-part finale, as the final two episodes will air back-to-back that night. Mark your calendars and plan accordingly.

Fear the Walking Dead kicked off its run back in 2015 when The Walking Dead was at the height of its popularity. The flagship show wrapped up its run last year but it’s pretty remarkable that this spin-off managed to run for more than 100 episodes. In many ways, it was just the beginning as AMC has since expanded the universe to include several more shows, with plans for more in the future. As for the show at hand, AMC also revealed a synopsis for the final episodes, which reads as follows:

“Now that Shrike (Maya Eshet) and her influence are gone, Madison (Kim Dickens) sets sights on transforming PADRE into the safe haven the old Stadium was meant to be. But in doing so the island becomes a target as well as a beacon as word of Madison and this land of resources spreads, attracting unwanted attention that puts PADRE back in peril and questions whether our heroes even deserve to save it.”

Meanwhile, fans of The Walking Dead still have much to look forward to. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon and Dead City were both renewed for second seasons earlier this year. We’ve also still got The Ones Who Live, which will bring back Rick Grimes and Michonne, set to debut in February 2024. AMC is far from done with the franchise, it seems, even if this show is getting ready to pack it in for good.

The series stars Lennie James, Kim Dickens, Colman Domingo, Danay Garcia, Austin Amelio, Christine Evangelista, Karen David, Jenna Elfman and Rubén Blades. It is executive produced by Scott M. Gimple, Andrew Chambliss, Ian Goldberg, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero, Michael Satrazemis and David Alpert. Chambliss and Goldberg also serve as showrunners.

Fear the Walking Dead airs Sundays on AMC and is streaming on AMC+.
