The great Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad, The Mandalorian) is the latest to join Radio Silence's STILL UNTITLED secret Universal monster movie, Deadline have reported today.

He's joining an already-impressive cast that includes Scream's Melissa Barrera, Alisha Weir, Dan Stevens, Kevin Durand, Kathryn Newton, Angus Cloud and Will Catlett. Other members of the Scream team on board of course include directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett, as well as producer Chad Villella serving as producer alongside William Sherak, Paul Neinstein and James Vanderbilt at Project X Entertainment.

Deadline today have also given us a release date of April 19, 2024 - but that's still pretty much most of what we know! What we do know courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter is something that could potentially (and hopefully) turn out to be the final product:

“The project was at one point titled Dracula’s Daughter. That project centered on a group of kidnappers who abduct a band of young people, one of whom ends up being the titular character. Woe then betides the kidnappers. Weir is playing the kidnappee who proves to be more than she appears, with Barrera playing one of the kidnappers.”

Whatever Untitled Monster Movie ends up being, we're very excited to see a new entry into the Universal Monsters Renaissance universe, joining Leigh Whannell’s The Invisible Man, the recent Renfield and even an upcoming revamp of The Mole People.

And, of course, it goes without saying that we can't wait to see Esposito in any role - as anyone who's seen Breaking Bad can attest, that's one talented and terrifying man.

Keep an eye out for more Untitled Monster Movie news (and hopefully a title soon!) as and when we get it!
