It feels like we've been anticipating the arrival of Adam Wingard's Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire for ages now, but the wait is almost over: Legendary will drop its latest Kaiju blockbuster into theaters next month, which means that we have now officially entered the peak era of this film's marketing campaign. Get ready for TV spots, featurettes, character posters, the whole nine yards.

Today brings us two goodies: the film's latest trailer, and a brand-new poster. Let's start with the trailer...

Well, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire looks pretty damn wild, doesn't it? Wingard seems to be having a blast here, and it's admittedly a lot of fun to see Big G and ol' Double K joining forces. Will this be as big, goofy, silly-but-also-badass as the rest of Legendary's Kaiju output? Almost certainly, and we can't wait.

As previously reported, Rebecca Hall (Ilene Andrews), Brian Tyree Henry (Bernie Hayes) and Kaylee Hottle (Jia) are reprising their roles from 2021's Godzilla vs. Kong, while franchise newcomers Fala Chen (Irma Vep), Rachel House (Foundation), and Dan Stevens (The Guest) join the party. Here's an official plot synopsis, should you enjoy such things:

"Godzilla and the almighty Kong face a colossal threat hidden deep within the planet, challenging their very existence and the survival of the human race."

As promised, the trailer above wasn't the only bit of Godzilla x Kong marketing we received today. There's also this new poster, which appeared earlier this morning via the Legendary Pictures Twitter feed:

Pretty snazzy! And, hey, look at that - right there at the bottom of the poster, a reminder that Wingard's Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire will hit theaters on March 29th. Are y'all as excited for this one as we are? Good. Then you should stay tuned for any further updates as they roll in. We're sure there's plenty more to come.
