This Good Boy trailer makes yet another compelling case for never dating again or stepping foot in a stranger's house. In the vein of "could have been a romantic comedy until that moment," Sigrid meets a charming and seemingly normal enough guy. But when she goes home with him, she meets his pet dog. Or rather, she meets his human roommate, who acts like his pet dog. Which brings to mind this recent story of a guy in Japan who reportedly spent $14,000 on a custom Collie suit to live out his dream of life as a quadrupedal animal. However, writer and director Viljar Bøe's Good Boy seems to have a more sinister undertone. Here's the official synopsis and trailer.

A bold and original thriller from up-and coming director Viljar Bøe. Sigrid thinks she’s met her perfect match with the charming and handsome Christian, but there is one catch- he lives with a man who acts like his pet dog. Trying to be open-minded, Sigrid continues the relationship but soon notices an insidious under-tone to Christian. Maybe ‘puppy play’ isn’t as innocent as it seems.

Sure, Christian says his roommate wants to be treated as a dog, but do we know that to be true? Human Centipede and Tusk make us just slightly suspicious of that claim. Something sinister is clearly afoot, we're just not entirely sure which direction it's coming from. What happens if that dog suit comes off? We won't have to wait long to find out, Good Boy hits theaters and digital/on demand on September 8 from Saban Films. StarringGard Løkke, Katrine Lovise Øpstad Fredriksen, Amalie Willoch Njaastad, and Nicolai Narvesen Lied.
