Poor Things streaming on Hulu is your chance to see the film outside a theater (or if you missed it in the theater!). You can stay cozy and enjoy this film at home with your favorite snacks.

Other new horror movies added to Hulu this month include some of the newest film versions of horror franchises, such as Children of the Corn, Alien vs. Predator, and Goosebumps. Check out the full list of all the new horror movies streaming on Hulu this month.

Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem was directed by The Brothers Strause and stars Steven Pasquale, Reiko Aylesworth, John Ortiz, and Johnny Lewis. Critics panned the film, but having seen it, we can say that it deserves credit for not sparing young children from the free-face hugs from the Xenomorphs. It's a bold choice.

Children of the Corn (2023)

This reboot of Children of the Corn starts from the beginning, taking the story in a different direction with new characters and concentrating on the events where the children initially attacked the adults in town.

Directed by Kurt Wimmer, it stars Elena Kampouris, Kate Moyer, Callan Mulvey, and Bruce Spence, an actor probably best known for his role as the Gyro Captain from The Road Warrior.

Children of the Corn was completed in 2020 but released in 2023. Read more about why that happened at Fangoria.

Goosebumps (2015)

Goosebumps, starring Jack Black as R.L. Stine, Dylan Minnette, Odeya Rush, and Amy Ryan, is the final product of attempts to adapt author R.L. Stine's popular scary children's books series that began in the 1990s.

Originally, George Romero was slated to direct it, but the project never came to fruition with Romero at the helm. It wasn't until 2014 that the project finally moved forward at Columbia Pictures with director Rob Letterman and a script by Darren Lemke.

Yorgos Lanthimos' Poor Things is one of the most highly acclaimed films of 2023. It is based on a novel by author Alasdair Gray. The film concerns Bella Baxter, a woman who died and has the brain of an infant transplanted into her body to bring her back to life.

This film is similar to the myth of Frankenstein and, as the director has said, was strongly influenced by Bram Stoker's Dracula by Francis Ford Coppola. It is more subtle but still has a creep factor. It stars Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo, Willem Dafoe, Ramy Youssef, Christopher Abbott, and Jerrod Carmichael.

Poor Things has been nominated for eleven Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Actress in a Leading Role (Emma Stone, )Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Mark Ruffalo), Best Director (Yorgos Lanthimos), Best Writing, Adapted Screenplay (Tony McNamara), and Best Director (Yorgos Lanthimos.)
