Today brings us the first trailer for Michael Mohan's Immaculate, a brand-new psychological thriller headed our way this March via the good folks at NEON. The hype around this one's been fairly strong, a fact that is surely due in no small part to the presence of its lead actress, Sydney Sweeney, who's been on one helluva run lately (and previously worked with Mohan on The Voyeurs).

What's she up to this time? Well...

"Sweeney stars in Immaculate as Cecilia, a woman of devout faith who is offered a fulfilling new role at an illustrious Italian convent. Her warm welcome to the picture-perfect Italian countryside is soon interrupted as it becomes clearer to Cecilia that her new home harbors some dark and horrifying secrets."

That's right: Sydney Sweeney is going full nun in Immaculate, and it will be up to her to figure out what the hell is going on at her "picture-perfect" Italian convent. What kind of "dark and horrifying secrets" does this place hold? Let's take a look at the just-released trailer to find out...

This looks solid! Lushly photographed, deeply sinister, plenty of creepy occult business going on, people throwing themselves off buildings. Oh, yes, this will do nicely.

In addition to Sweeney, Immaculate also stars Simona Tabasco (The White Lotus), Alvaro Morte (Money Heist), Benedetta Porcaroli (Baby), and Dora Romano (The Hand of God). All of them will be working from a script written by Andrew Lobel, while the film itself will hit theaters on March 22nd. Do stay tuned for further updates on this one as they become available and, in the meantime, maybe brush up on your scripture.
