Luxury Gothic fashion house La Femme En Noir are back to add some much needed glamour to our winters with their upcoming collection, a collaboration with Legendary Entertainment, bringing to life the aesthetics of Guillermo del Toro's iconic 2015 feature film Crimson Peak.
Full of gorgeous gowns, exquisitely crafted bags and vintage-inspired pieces, La Femme En Noir's Crimson Peak set perfectly encapsulates the chilling and beautiful atmosphere of the gothic romance, which stars Mia Wasikowska, Tom Hiddleston and Jessica Chastain - all of whom don jaw-droppingly beautiful costumes by New Zealand designer Kate Hawley.
Lynh Haaga, co-owner and designer for the high-end Gothic fashion house, says:
Crimson Peak is a lush and atmospheric gothic ghost tale, which thoroughly fits our brand [...] Every time I re-watched the film for inspiration, I was struck by the cohesive attention to detail, the thematic elements of costume, color, and set design, and the visceral impact of its visuals. From the living house itself to the stunning Victorian costumes, Crimson Peak is rife with all of the elements that we hold dear as designers - gothic romance with a hint of the macabre.”
