M. Night Shyamalan has shown no signs of slowing down over the last half decade, so you likely won't be surprised to learn that the director already has his next project lined up (via Warner Bros.). Today brings us a very small bit of news about that film, but fair warning: in classic Shyamalan fashion, there's very little to go on here beyond the title, a setting, and a genre.

The news comes to us via a new report over at Deadline which lays out the particulars of WB's recent CineEurope showcase. Meant to promote the studio's forthcoming film slate, those in attendance were treated to trailers, onstage talent, and pre-recorded messages from various filmmakers and stars. Shyamalan appeared in one of those pre-recorded bits alongside his daughter, Ishana, with both teasing their upcoming films.

Ishana Shyamalan, as FANGORIA readers already know, is working on her feature directorial debut, a "gothic fairy tale" by the name of The Watchers. M. Night, meanwhile, revealed that his next project will be a "psychological thriller set at a concert" called Trap. Very intriguing!

I suppose we could extrapolate just about anything from "psychological thriller set at a concert" (what type of concert it might be, what sort of plotline may be playing out against it, which former Shyamalan cast members might be a good fit for such a project), but I believe it wiser to be honest with ourselves and our readers and simply say that there's really no telling what Shyamalan might be up to here. You saw Old, right?

Anyway, we cordially invite you to stay tuned for further updates on Trap as they roll in. If you wanna recklessly speculate between now and the film's arrival in theaters on August 2nd of next year, well, that's between you and your god.
