Love 'em or hate 'em - it seems that following the success of Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, public domain horrors are here to stay. And what could be more public domain than classic nursery rhymes? Coming this fall from Uncork'd Entertainment are Three Blind Mice and Mary Had a Little Lamb, two bloody adaptations of the beloved children's rhymes.

First up, let's get a look at Three Blind Mice from director Pierre B and starring Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey's May Kelly, Lila Lasso, Natasha Tosini, Samantha Cull, and Danielle Ronaldstar. For all those who didn't have a delightful childhood full of singalongs and recorder practice, the original 1600s rhyme follows - you guessed it - three blind mice on the run from a butcher's wife. Pierre B's version however reads as a little different, although just as violent:

Abi is going cold turkey; her family has taken her to a cabin in the woods so she can be away from the city and all her troubles. However, little do they know, The Three Blind Mice is more than just a fairy tale, and they may be next up on the menu.

Keith Leopard, President of Uncorkā€™d Entertainment, describes Three Blind Mice as "bloody, disturbing and very entertaining pre-Halloween entertainment", and knowing Uncork'd Entertainment's slate, we're inclined to believe him that it's going to be bloody as all hell. Just look at this promising still, for one!

Mary Had a Little Lamb, directed by visual effects artist and animator Jason Arber (Meg 2 : The Trench), also stars May Kelly, as well as Danielle Scott, and Christine Ann Nyland. Far from the adorable tale of Mary and her fluffy companion in the 19th century original, Arber's gruesome new adaptation follows:

A radio host and her crew set out to discover the truth behind some disappearances for a true crime show. They will soon learn that there is far more to discover when they meet Mary and her lamb. Who will make it out alive of this house of horrors?

Leopard describes Mary Had a Little Lamb as "campy and fun, with terrific special and visual effects" - and we don't doubt him there either!
