Deliver Us to Popcorn Frights Film Festival. That is, the "dark, wicked, and devilishly fun" Deliver Us is making its World Premiere at the ninth annual Popcorn Frights this August. The film will screen as an opening night selection in Fort Lauderdale, August 10. Playing in the sandbox of prophecies, anti-Christs, and total annihilation of the soul, we've got an exclusive sneak peek at some stills from the movie. But first, let's have a look at the official synopsis.

A dread-soaked nightmare that ratchets up the horror with a menacing atmosphere and an unholy amount of gore galore. From an age-old prophecy emerges an unspeakable vision, shrouded in darkness and dripping with terror. A nun claims to have immaculately conceived twins — one will be the Messiah, the other the Anti-Christ. Gripped by terror, the Vatican sends priests to investigate the nun’s unholy truth. As the veil of darkness lifts, the unspeakable becomes undeniable with a chilling decree resonating through Vatican City: the annihilation of both souls. When an American priest uncovers this grotesque truth, he aids the tormented nun’s escape to cursed Estonia. Pursued relentlessly, they battle against damnation as the world teeters on eternal destruction.

Directed by Cru Ennis and Lee Roy Kunz, the directing duo says this is "a theological horror film that explores religious prophecies from various cultures throughout history.  A universal thread in world religions is the story of feuding brothers: Cain and Abel, Thor and Loki, Set and Osiris, Zeus and Hades, and in our case, Jesus and Lucifer." Here's a peek at someone (or something?) wreaking havoc in the halls.

The directors add, "We center our story around identical twin brothers to tap into this cultural consciousness and to explore 'the problem of evil'–the question of why a good and all-powerful God would permit the flourishing of evil. By presenting this existential dilemma within the horror genre, we aim to engage viewers on multiple levels to not just frighten but provide a thought-provoking experience.”
