We're nearly halfway to Halloween and Shudder is celebrating with the return of their annual Halfway to Halloween event. The celebration includes new seasons of original Shudder series Cursed Films and The Last  Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs. In addition to new seasons on the roster, a slate of Shudder original films will be premiering as well. Titles include: Night’s End , The Cellar, starring Elisha Cuthbert, and Gustavo Hernández's Virus 32, and Exlusive Film See for Me, along with library titles The Boulet Brothers' Dragula, 1992’s Candyman and The Devils, among others.

Season 4 of The Last Drive-In premieres Friday, April 29, with new episodes airing every Friday. This season's premiere will also feature a celebration of The Last Drive-In’s 100th movie since Joe Bob’s first Shudder marathon in 2018, with surprise special guests. Seasons 1-3 of the hit The Boulet Brothers' Dragula will also be added to the platform on April 18th for your bingeing pleasure, making Shudder the exclusive home for all four seasons plus 2020’s Resurrection special.

Along with lots to watch, Shudder is also bringing back their interactive Halfway to Halloween Hotline, featuring a real live human, VP of programming, curator extraordinaire, Samuel Zimmerman providing personalized horror movie recommendations. Every Friday in April from 3 pm – 4 pm ET, members are invited to ring Zimmerman on the hotline for customized horror viewing recommendations from Shudder’s expansive film collection – ranging from his favorite genre films of all time to highly anticipated new releases. A new hotline phone number will be announced each Friday on Shudder’s social media platforms.

Shudder’s General Manager Craig Engler, says, “We’re curating a slate of the best in horror all year round, but April and October give us a unique opportunity to connect with and hear from our members directly about the movies they’re craving and what they love most about the genre. And we’re pairing that with an impressive lineup of new, fan-favorite titles, as we continue to go deep on the genre like only Shudder can.”

Stay tuned for more Halfway to Halloween treats coming to Shudder in April!
