New seasons for two of our favorite anthology series have been ordered by Shudder and we are giddy with excitement. The Slasher series focuses on a new masked killer each season, filled with fun, brutal kills. So far we've had The Executioner terrorizing a Canadian town, Guilty Party wreaking havoc on former camp counselors, Solstice wherein a group of neighbors are hunted down one by one, and the latest Flesh & Blood centered on a disgustingly rich and deeply dysfunctional family as they literally play for their life — competing in a series of twisted games in an attempt to win the family fortune... as a serial killer hunts them. The upcoming installment is titled Slasher: Ripper and will star Eric McCormack as Basil Garvey, "a charismatic tycoon whose success is only rivaled by his ruthlessness, as he oversees a city on the cusp of a new century, and a social upheaval that will see its streets run red with blood." You had us at "streets run red with blood." Just kidding, we were in way before we even got to that part.
Greg Nicotero’s Creepshow seems to become increasingly more amazing with each episode and every new season. They've given us a slew of favorite stars from our Queen Barbara Crampton, to legends like Adrienne Barbeau, Kiefer Sutherland, Justin Long, and Ethan Embry... honestly the list is too long and too mind-blowing to even begin to do it justice here, so we will "tip of the iceberg" it and if you're not caught up on Creepshow, take care of that right away. In addition to the incredible on-screen talent in each episode, there are exciting names behind the camera as well, Directors like Joe Lynch, Tom Savini, Axelle Carolyn, and Roxanne Benjamin to name a few. The Creepshow trajectory has been onward and upward, which makes us especially excited to see what (and who) the fourth season has in store. Click below to get caught up now:
