Hot Girl Summer is dead. This is the Summer of Darkness. Beginning this Memorial Day the Alamo Drafthouse, in collaboration with FANGORIA, kicks off a retrospective summer screening series featuring the work of one of the greatest masters of horror, John Carpenter. Starting with his first movie Dark Star and hitting a bunch of fan favorites, including a double feature of Escape From New York and Escape From LA, there's something here for any genre fan to watch.
The Summer of Darkness series runs through Labor Day, an excellent way to take a break from the heat and enjoy some of John Carpenter’s classics on the big screen.
