T-Blockers, the latest feature from Australian filmmaker Alice Maio Mackay, has a brand new red band trailer, previewed exclusively by Bloody Disgusting earlier today, full of blood, slime and punk rock.

T-Blockers, a proudly queer horror, releases via Dark Star Pictures on March 5, 2024. The plot synopsis reads as follows:

In small-town Australia, a nightmare is brewing. Sophie is a young filmmaker obsessed with finding a thought-to-be long-lost film. Meanwhile, an earthquake unleashes ancient parasites in the area that thrive on hatred, causing outbursts of violence. Now Sophie and her friends, struggling with dating and their undesirable jobs, must also face off against an ancient evil that spreads like wildfire.

Lauren Last, Lewi Dawson, Joe Romeo, Chris Asimos, Joni Ayton-Kent, Stanley Browning, and Lisa Fanto star.

Mackay, who co-wrote the script with Benjamin Pahl Robinson, has three feature films under her belt at the age of just 18 (!!!), with her previous features So Vam, Bad Girl Boogey and Satranic Panic all cementing Mackay as an exciting young filmmaker with something important to say.

In a statement Dark Star president Michael Repsch expressed his excitement at being part of Mackay's journey:

“We are thrilled to continue our collaboration with Alice and unleashing her films on audiences. T-Blockers shows her evolution as an important creative voice, as she provides us with unflinching look at the trans experience while never relenting on the campy gore on screen. It plays like a film baby from Greg Araki and John Waters, raised by Larry Cohen.”

Oh, and did we mention Mackay has ANOTHER feature to come? Yep, Carnage for Christmas, a festive slasher that we proudly exclusively revealed more about last year.

Catch T-Blockers in March and here's the trailer to get you hyped:
