Even as we speak, Mike Flanagan is somewhere in Alabama, hard at work on his latest Stephen King adaptation, The Life of Chuck. Based on King's 2020 novella of the same name, this particular tale will make for a far less bloody affair than either of Flanagan's previous King adaptations (think something more along the lines of The Shawshank Redemption, less Gerald's Game), but rest assured it's still got a bit of that ol' Stephen King spookiness in its DNA.

The production previously announced Tom Hiddleston and Mark Hamill as cast members, and earlier this week we learned that Chiwetel Ejiofor, Karen Gillan, and Jacob Tremblay were also joining the cast. Today, however, Flanagan himself has taken to Twitter to announce the rest of the Life of Chuck cast, and it's positively overflowing with some of our faves.

Per this Twitter thread, The Life of Chuck will also feature performances from FANGORIA fave David Dastmalchian (The Boogeyman), Heather Langenkamp (A Nightmare on Elm St.), Matthew Lillard (Scream), Mia Sara (Ferris Bueller's Day Off), and Harvey Guillén (What We Do In The Shadows), as well as regular Flanagan collaborators Carl Lumbly (Doctor Sleep), Kate Siegel (The Fall of the House of Usher), Annalise Basso (Oculus), Samantha Sloyan (Midnight Mass), Rahul Kohli (Usher), Matt Biedel (The Midnight Club), Sauriyan Sapkota (Usher), Saidah Arrika Ekulona (The Haunting of Hill House), Michael Trucco (Usher), Violet McGraw (Hill House), and Molly C. Quinn (Usher). Joining them are Benjamin Pajak, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, Antonio Raul Corbo, Q'Orianka Kilcher, and Taylor Gordon, in her screen debut.

Goddamn.

The Life of Chuck, which is currently filming under a waiver granted by SAG-AFTRA, is an entirely independent production, which means we aren't sure as of this writing where we might end up getting to see it. Here's hoping that it gets a theatrical release, and that we don't have to wait too much longer to check it out. All signs point to this one being something very special, indeed.

Stay tuned for more on The Life of Chuck as further updates roll in, King fans.
