Directed by Barnaby Clay, The Seeding follows a man as he finds himself trapped in a desert canyon with a woman living off-grid who is captive to a pack of sadistic boys. Clay describes The Seeding as a story that "deals with big themes, but in a small, contained way, almost like a brutal adult version of a children's story or fable - something to bore under your skin and stick around for a while. I hope, like all great horror, it speaks some truth about human nature, even if it's a side we’d rather not see."

Clay has a background as a music video director, working with bands like Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Depeche Mode’s Dave Gahan, and TV On The Radio. He's also directed short films, including "Carousel", starring Chloe Sevigny, and Sickdog, starring Tunde Adebimpe and Natasha Lyonne. We're excited to see what he does in a feature-length format with The Seeding. The film stars Scott Haze (Venom, Jurassic World Dominion) and Kate Lyn Sheil (You're Next, V/H/S).

Setting up the exclusive clip you're about to watch, Clay says "Boys will be boys as Stone meets his adversaries face to face at last. For 'the boys’, the character of Stone is more of a plaything and this scene illustrates their merciless disregard towards him. It is part of a sequence that climaxes in the following scene, considerably upping the stakes and moving the film into a whole new twisted territory."

Yowza! We'll happily enjoy "The Boys" from this side of the screen, thank you very much. While this scene is dark (figuratively and literally) most of the horror Clay crafts here occur in the light of the sun. "This is actually one of the few night scenes - most of the ‘horror’ in the film plays out under the burning light of day. It was fun to shoot; even though it was freezing cold that night, the actors playing the boys were psyched to shed some clothes, douse themselves in blood and get wild under a full moon - what kid doesn’t want to do that?"

We do love a good blood douse followed by getting wild under a full moon on a Thursday night. Watch The Seeding in select theaters January 26.
