We've been talking about it for months, obsessing over each new teaser, trailer, character design, and making-of video as they've dropped, and now the wait is almost over: Gun Interactive's The Texas Chain Saw Massacre game is almost here (it lands on August 18th), and we couldn't be more excited to, well, get in the game!

As previously reported, the Texas Chain Saw Massacre game is Gun Interactive's latest asymmetrical multiplayer horror title, pitting players against one another (either as unwitting victims trying to survive or members of the murderous Slaughter Family) in locations that will be readily familiar to any Texas Chain Saw Massacre fanatic. "Who will survive, and what will be left of them?" Well, we suppose that depends on how good you are at hunting or evading your friends.

The good folks over at IGN recently unveiled a brand-new tale for Gun Interactive's latest, one which shows off The Texas Chain Saw Massacre's highly-detailed and creepy environments, its cast of characters, and some of the brutal kills that await players when they boot up the game next month. Let's take a look...

The events depicted in Gun Interactive's The Texas Chain Saw Massacre take place in the months leading up to Tobe Hooper's 1974 masterpiece, and will grant players unique abilities depending on which character they're playing. Survivors will have to use clever thinking and stealthy maneuvering to evade the various members of the Slaughter Family, each of whom - as you can see in the footage above - are very adept at turning those survivors into a pile of shredded flesh. Oh, man, we can't wait.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre game will Xbox One, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Steam on August 18th, but you can pre-order your copy of the game now via this link. Stay tuned for more on the release of Gun Interactive's latest as further updates roll in!
