I cannot tell a.. spoiler? Is that how the saying goes? Written and directed by Charles Dorfman, Barbarians is dripping in wonderfully awkward dark comedy before dialing the thriller elements all the way up. Set over twenty-four hours, the story follows an uncomfortable dinner party as it unfolds into a full-blown nightmare when the doorbell rings. "Manners give way to madness" and the celebratory evening descends into something else entirely, a dark night of terror. This seemingly civilized dinner party turns out to be anything but.
