One of the most celebrated horror movies of the ‘80s (if not all time) is getting a 4K upgrade this fall thanks to the folks at Arrow Video. The company is bringing Clive Barker’s Hellraiser to Ultra HD in October as part of the Hellraiser: Quartet of Torment box set. As the title implies, it includes the first four films in the franchise. Today, we bring you a brand new trailer teasing the 4K release of the original. Check it out.

This movie has always looked good, but seeing it restored in UHD is truly going to be something. Pinhead and the Cenobites in 4K! Aside from the original, the box set will also include Hellbound: Hellraiser II, Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth and Hellraiser: Bloodline. Most importantly, the set will contain a never-before-seen workprint cut of Bloodline. So Arrow is uncovering a piece of horror history in addition to giving these films new life in 4K.

The only downside is that this set is technically only available in the U.K. But fear not, horror fans as 4K Blu-ray discs are region-free, so those who live in North America and still want to obtain a copy can get around that easily enough. It’s just that the standard Blu-ray discs are region-locked. It may cost a lot more in shipping, but this is an impressive set and is almost certainly going to be worth the money for hardcore fans. It’s currently on sale for £65.00, or around $82. As for what the set includes? Here’s a little rundown:

Brand new 4k restorations of all four films from the original camera negatives by Arrow Films
Ultra High Definition (2160p) presentations of all four films in Dolby Vision (hdr10 compatible)
Original lossless stereo and Dts-hd Ma 5.1 surround audio for all four films
Optional English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing
Ages of Desire, an exclusive 200-page hardback book with new writing from Clive Barker archivists Phil and Sarah Stokes
Limited edition layered packaging featuring brand new Pinhead artwork

The discs are also loaded with special features, not to mention the wildly impressive box decked out with new artwork that will look good on the ol’ media shelf. From new audio commentaries to featurettes and more, the folks at Arrow appear to have outdone themselves with this one.

The Hellraiser: Quartet of Torment box set arrives on October 23. For full details or to pre-order a copy, head on over to
