Do you like having public panic attacks? Well, do A24 have the anxiety-inducing event for you! As part of a new monthly screening event beginning on March 27, the genre titans are bringing back three of their biggest hitters to IMAX screens across the country: Ari Aster's Hereditary, Alex Garland's Ex Machina and the Safdie brothers' Uncut Gems.
A24 announced the team up with IMAX via socials (seen below) with a nice little video highlighting everyone's favorite horror mother. All three are remastered in never-before-seen IMAX, meaning you can experience Toni Collette's masterful monologue on a screen bigger than your apartment - and just imagine what THAT Charlie scene will look like at that gargantuan size.
The event kicks off on March 27 with Ex Machina, with Hereditary following on April 24, and rounding off with Uncut Gems on May 22.
Since ushering in a whole new era of horror classics including Midsommar, The Witch and Saint Maud, A24 continue to kill it in the genre game, with this year bringing the much-anticipated MaXXXine from Ti West, Jane Schoenbrun's I Saw the TV Glow, plus the John Carpenter-scored Death of a Unicorne to name but a few.
There's also the upcoming sequel to the Philippou brothers' Talk to Me (the amazingly-named Talk 2 Me), the Amber Midthunder-starring Opus and Hideo Kojima's upcoming Death Stranding movie. All in all - a great time to be an A24 fan.
