Chris Nash and Shudder's highly-anticipated slasher In A Violent Nature, one of the most-talked about horror movies from Sundance 2024, gets a brand new teaser trailer today courtesy of Fandango - and it's promisingly ominous.

Starring Ry Barrett, Andrea Pavlovic, Cameron Love, Reece Presley, Liam Leone, Charlotte Creaghan, Lea Rose Sebastianis, Sam Roulston, Alexander Oliver, and Lauren Taylor, In a Violent Nature follows “the enigmatic resurrection, rampage, and retribution of an undead monster in a remote wilderness."

A full plot synopsis reads as follows:

When a locket is removed from a collapsed fire tower in the woods that entombs the rotting corpse of Johnny, a vengeful spirit spurred on by a horrific 60-year old crime, his body is resurrected and becomes hellbent on retrieving it. The undead golem hones in on the group of vacationing teens responsible for the theft and proceeds to methodically slaughter them one by one in his mission to get it back - along with anyone in his way.

Since premiering at Sundance, In A Violent Nature has been racking up a ton of positive praise, with Fango's own Dolores Quintana calling it "ridiculously gruesome", and Kat Hughes of The Hollywood News teasing that it features "the kill of the year."

The teaser, seen below, doesn't go heavy on the promised gore, instead going for a mysterious 'less is more' approach (which we'll always appreciate), turning what looks to be an easy breezy day at the lake into a bonafide nightmare.

In A Violent Nature doesn't have a theatrical or Shudder release date just yet, but we expect it'll be along sometime in 2024. Keep your eyes peeled for a confirmed release date:
