Good news, horror fans, as you will soon have a brand new streaming option - and one that will unchain you from the great burden of choice. The folks at Shout! Factory have announced that they are launching a brand new streaming channel called Scream Factory TV in April. The dedicated horror streaming service will have genre movies flowing 24/7 and will be easily accessible either online or through various smart TV apps.

Shout! already has a streaming app, and they decided that the strength of its horror-focused offshoot, Scream Factory was strong enough to warrant a spin-off. Scream Factory is already known for doing great work in the physical media space releasing tons of genre classics and cult favorites on Blu-ray packed with bonus features and cool artwork. They recently brought us Alligator on 4K, for example. Now, many of those movies will be in regular rotation at the click of a button. Per a press release, the company had the following to say about its new endeavor:

"Immerse yourself in the snarling monsters, stalking slashers, terrifying aliens, and shocking moments that have haunted you for years. Following the success of Shout! Factory's immensely popular home entertainment brand Scream Factory, Scream Factory TV will allow fans to stream and scream their favorite thrills and chills at home 24/7. Focusing on the notable horror, sci-fi, and thriller cult classics that fans love, every movie comes uncensored and ready to terrify."

So, what movies can one expect to see when they click over to Scream Factory TV next month? Here is the full list of titles that the company has listed for the rotation at launch:

  • Bad Moon
  • Black Christmas
  • Carnival Of Souls
  • The Cat O' Nine Tails
  • Chopping Mall
  • Class Of 1984
  • Communion
  • The Company Of Wolves
  • The Crush
  • Dark Star
  • Day Of The Dead
  • The Exorcist III
  • Forbidden World
  • Galaxy Of Terror
  • House On Haunted Hill
  • Humanoids From The Deep
  • The Last Man On Earth
  • Magic
  • Night Of The Demons
  • Night Of The Living Dead
  • Nightbreed: Director's Cut
  • Nosferatu
  • Piranha (1978)
  • Silent Night, Deadly Night: Part 2
  • Sleepaway Camp
  • The Slumber Party Massacre
  • The Stepfather
  • Willard
  • Witchboard
  • Witchery

That is a damn fine mix of genre programming for a free service. The ability to click on a random channel and see what's on, letting the fates decide is something we could use more of. Shudder, for example, has several random streaming channels, and it is one of the app's best features. This figures to be a nice addition to that tradition in the streaming world.

Scream Factory TV launches on April 15.
