Genre titans A24 and AMC Theaters are giving fans the chance to catch some of their biggest horror classics back on the big screen with A24 Presents: October Thrills & Chills Film Series.
According toIndieWire, participating U.S.-based AMC Theaters will screen Robert Eggers' eerie folk horror The Witch on October 4, Ti West's sleazy slasher X on October 11, Jonathan Glazer's psychological sci-fi horror Under the Skin on October 18, and the Director’s Cut of Ari Aster's psychedelic epic Midsommar on October 25 leading up to Halloween.
And that's not all! Ticket buyers will also get a free month subscription to newly launched AAA24 membership, which offers fans exclusive content, special zines, birthday gifts, first dibs on A24's famously fantastic merch and many other perks. If you're already a member, you'll be able to see one film in the series all for free. Aren't they so good to us?
It's of course been another banger of a year for A24, with Aussie horror hit Talk to Me taking the crown as their biggest box office hit ever, production on the third part of the X trilogy well under way, and although it's outside of our particular wheelhouse, we hardly need to remind you of Everything Everywhere All At Once's incredible Oscar sweep.
For us horror fans of course, they're always been at the top of the game, and if you missed your chance to catch their horror stalwarts upon release, now you can catch 'em with a similarly hyped crowd. If you haven't yet checked out the director's cut of Midsommar, it's well worth a watch, expanding on both Dani's story and the rituals of the mysterious Hårga cult.
